Planning to vote early? Most but not all towns have drop boxes or a designated and secure location for voters to deposit their ballots. One way to return your early/absentee ballot is to deposit it in a drop box in the town and district where you'd usually vote in person. Note: Tuesday, March 3, 2026 is Town Meeting Day in Vermont. Some towns have voted to hold their town meeting on a different day or have voted to hold the floor vote portion of their meeting during the three days before the Australian ballot portion.
